Yesterday, I was driving through rural Oregon (Trump Country) and stopped at a truck stop for fuel and a burger. In the restaurant, I saw the typical big screen TV hanging on the wall with the talking heads. MUCH to my amazement, it was Nichole Wallace on MSNBC working the latest kids-in-jail story. Lots of folks watching.

There is hope if FOX NEWS has not poisoned every public screen.

Use your voice! Speak up! Be polite about it but FOR PETE’S SAKE speak up! You’re a customer whose money and patronage they may lose if they ignore you.

SPEAK UP about it. Ask to have the channel changed. And if it’s some place where the remote is sitting on the counter or coffee table, change the channel yourself!

If you’re the only one there, great! If not, and you’re in a red area, switch it to sports or some cooking show. That way you don’t risk getting into confrontations, particularly if there are more men in the room than women. The sports option takes all that away.
