I had a Facebook fight with a guy who didn't mind me suggesting he was a traitor to his nation. His placid response gave me a weird feeling that in their very sick and small minds Obama was the end of 'their' United States, and they welcome what they believe to be white nationalist help from Russia in restoring 'their' country. Since they never read about Hitler's opinion of the Slavs as being just above Jews, they believe somehow the Russians will restore the True White America. They're being played like an organ.
The guy claimed to be ex-military with intelligence credentials, but he believes in the full Alex Jones/Sean Hannity schtick. Pizzagate, Mulim brotherhood, all of it. So, ex-military but so intellectually weak he'll believe anything Putin tells him at this point. Less an American than a pathetic Lord Of The Flies child. Half-step down to monkey. Who raised this idiot? Probably idiots.
Our conservative 2/5ths has always been our weak spot, always. WWI, WWII, Vietnam -- always the posturing, never the thinking. Always the cruel theory, never the fact. Without us, they're all dead in a generation or two -- they're just that numb and bone-headedly Ultrastupid, afraid of everything but especially the future.
On election night I predicted that we would eventually arrive at the ultimate paradox -- a publicly available videotape of the US president raping a child, and that very same president still in power. With Claude Taylor's tweet today, I think that exact scenario is approaching.
Conservatives hate America, that's just the fact. They love something else, something they've built in their mind. None of them know the first thing about this nation or what it means or even what it stands for.
