This stupid.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A Madison woman was arrested twice in three hours for drunken driving.
The Wisconsin State Journal reports that 47-year-old Yangchen Sopa was first pulled over by police in Verona at 2:15 a.m. Saturday for a defective headlight. Authorities say she was arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to the Verona police station before being released to her husband at about 4:30 a.m.
Less than an hour later, the same Verona officer who stopped Sopa the first time stopped her again because police said the vehicle still had a defective headlight and she was seen driving it. She was arrested again for drunken driving.

(16,423 posts)It was about a guy who was modding his car. At some point, he noticed that he needed to go somewhere. (Forgot details of the story.) So he decided to drive there with the car he had just been working on. The car didn't have working brakes, but, come on, what do you need brakes for? His brake-less ride went without problems... until he came to a traffic-light.

(46,325 posts)I would hear guys in class bragging about how they "Got home on autopilot."
Or would laugh about waking up with a hangover in their car, parked on someone's lawn.
Or would brag about driving home drunk numerous times, and never getting caught.
Don't hear much from those guys nowadays...

Combine the two, and you're asking for stupidity.
There's a reason that for some actions it's assumed if you're under the influence you're not responsible for your decisions.

The cop who pulled me over said that was the first time he's seen someone carry spare bulbs.
He held the flashlight, I swapped the bulb in 3 minutes, and he said he could not write me because I fixed it.
I thanked him, not knowing the bulb just blew out, and I was on my way.
