It is 93 and feels like 100.
The dewpoint is 71.
The humidity is 64.
It is like walking into a steam bath.
The grass never dries.
P.S. It has been so hot the last couple of weeks, the breaker to the air conditioner keeps kicking off.
This has never happened before.

It is just so steamy it is unreal.

(26,250 posts)Then back to the high 80's by mid-next week.
The hot weather is great for the veg garden. I just make sure to keep it watered.

(25,132 posts)Dew Point of 87 would make the humidity 73% and the Heat Index would be at least 120.
I'm thinking your dewpoint might be 67.
The official NWS San Antonio International Airport:

(63,221 posts)That is pretty much what it is here too, except humidity is 61%, dew point is 75%. It's like a sauna out there.
I just got home from work and am staying in my apartment w/ the AC, the fan, a spray bottle of cold water and ice packs. There is almost nothing I hate more than being hot and sweaty. Ugh!

(6,393 posts)Mid 90's with a feels like 101. It's oppressive out there. Got the air quality alter yesterday that said it lasts through Thursday evening.
The thunderstorms on Friday can't get here soon enough to break this.

(73,506 posts)the mid- to upper-90s for several days. I am only able to work on my lawn and garden for brief periods. My younger son has been doing most of the work for me, as he enjoys it as "training" for boxing. I'd like to think of that as the luxury of youth. However, I visited my 90-year old uncle, a WW2 hero, two days ago. He had just finished his lawn, and was carrying two 5-gallong buckets to water his garden. After that, he said, he was going to split more firewood.

(6,928 posts)here in Denver. We had some rain and it is going to cool off to the mid 80s this week and then go back up to the 90s. It is a dry heat which is hot but not a lot of humidity, which makes it hard to breathe. I grew up in Ohio.

(2,795 posts)I live in Colorado and the whole state is on fire. There hasn't been measurable rain in over a month.
Looks promising tomorrow and Thursday but then back into the 90s, dry and windy. No help for all of the wildfires burning in this state. My husband's aunt and uncle's home burned in the Spring Creek fire. We live in a rural area with a lot of Ponderosa Pine - so I'm feeling a little nervous. One lightning strike or a stupid person with fireworks could start a fire very easily
