After having written many best selling books, and somewhat priding myself on my ability to write, it should be noted that the Fake News constantly likes to pour over my tweets looking for a mistake. I capitalize certain words only for emphasis, not b/c they should be capitalized!

It's actually not a "new" German word, it's just suddenly become popular in this country because of this fuckwit and many others.

A biographer of President Trump hit back at Trump’s tweet touting himself as the author of “many best selling books,” saying that ghostwriters had written all of the president’s books.

“President Trump didn’t write any of his books. Ghostwriters on all of them,” author Tim O’Brien tweeted Tuesday ...

Trump is credited as the author of more than a dozen books. Almost all of them acknowledge the use of a ghostwriter or co-author ...

... Trump has started a book club of sorts -- recommending no fewer than seven books to his Twitter followers.

... The common thread isn't a policy perspective or even a political viewpoint. It's Trump. These are all people who like Trump, and so he likes them. When they write a book, he tweets about it ...

... So why is this ... so strange? Because Trump is a notoriously disinterested reader ...

In May 2016, in a sitdown with then Fox News Channel anchor Megyn Kelly, Trump said ...

... I would love to sit down and read a book, but I just don't have the time ...

... most people who aren't super into books don't make a habit of recommending books to their 51 million closest friends ...

... In it, Trump, then 41, explains the power of psychology and deception — he calls it “bravado” or “truthful hyperbole” — in his early real estate acquisitions. Before he was a brand name, he had to convince people that he was worth their time. It was small things here and there. Like asking his architect to gussy up the sketches for a hotel so it seemed like they spent huge sums on the plans, boosting interest in his proposal. Or having a construction crew drive machinery back and forth on a site in Atlantic City so that the visiting board of directors would be duped into thinking the work was far along. “If necessary,” he instructed a supervisor, “have the bulldozers dig up dirt on one side of the site and dump it on the other.”

“I play to people’s fantasies,” Trump explains ...

... Trump’s books are sprayed with insults, like he’s trying to make sure we’re still paying attention. He trashes a former Miss Universe for gaining weight. When he meets a one-star general, he asks, “How come you’re only a one-star?” ...

Streaks of insecurity run through the books ... Everything he owns is the best, biggest, hottest. His apartment: “There may be no other apartment in the world like it.” His yacht: “probably the most beautiful yacht ever built.” His living room: “While I can’t honestly say I need an eighty-foot living room, I get a kick out of having one.” And his third wife, Melania: “considered by many, including me, to be one of the most beautiful women in the world” ...

... “I was sort of jokingly told that any books that weren’t political, dystopian, or both, weren’t really selling.” Trump’s Presidential win has sent a rippling effect through the book publishing world, affecting authors, booksellers, editors, agents, and publicists: In a world where reality has become stranger than fiction, actual books are no longer selling ...

... the news cycle has sucked the air out of the room. The disastrous and almost comically incompetent Trump presidency has both frightened the reading market away from popular books and functioned as a kind of mass entertainment with which it is difficult to compete, with Senate hearings and official testimonies becoming must-see TV ...

As far as older books go, the reports are telling. Leigh Altshuler, the Strand’s Director of Marketing and Communications, found that consistent bestsellers of 2017 were The Handmaid’s Tale and 1984—decades-old dystopian works that are receiving new attention ...
