Anonymous person buys $1M worth of toys at closing Toys 'R' Us

An anonymous donor bought $1 million worth of remaining toys at a North Carolina Toys 'R' Us in order to donate them to charity.

The store was one of 700 locations for the retail giant, all of which were set to close June 29 after the company filed for bankruptcy.

But the Raleigh store in question did not open for its final scheduled day after the anonymous donor bought out all of its stock, according to local CBS-affiliate CBS17.

Employees told CBS17 that they spent their last day on the job packing toys for the buyer. The anonymous buyer reportedly visited several Toys 'R' Us stores to purchase toys.
