My comment to a NYT editorial about a need to start over

was posted this AM...wrote it late last night

http://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/03/opinion/trump-supreme-court-nominee.html?comments#permid=27729834

To fix the mess we are in, a few things have to happen. Courage to call things as they are. A stolen election put a puppet for Putin in the White House. That can not stand. An entire party (the Republicans) are just fine with this because they have power and money. That can not stand. The Democratic party brings water balloons to a nuclear war. Where is their spine? That can not stand. There is little to no free media - there is simply state controlled (Republican controlled) TV and radio brainwashing the willingly brainwashable masses. This can not stand. Is everyone so infatuated with their phones and vapid TV shows that no one cares any more?

Until there is recognition of what happened and a process to truly deal with it, we are in huge trouble and will simply continue to decline. All I can come up with is that the crime was too huge for people to comprehend or admit to. It bursts the bubble of our ideals. Wake up, folks! It actually may already be too late.

This is why Democrats MUST be ‘uncivil’. We must show via our actions that these are not normal times. That this is a national emergency.

Republicans’ first priority is to keep Americans complacent. That cannot stand.

Go to marches. Go canvass and talk to voters. Buy T-shirt’s and signs and bumper stickers. Be direct! Be strong. Be outraged.

separate? It is impossible to reason with Pox News zombies brainwashed by the Siberian Candidate and his propaganda operation. Reason, logic, compassion and humanity have no place in the Trump death cult.

All we would accomplish is two or more weaker countries with assholes for neighbors! What we NEED to do is identify what makes them such jerks and prevent those genes from spreading, either compassionately or viciously. The right always devolves to the state they are in now and then devolves some more.

“too big to fail”, could we now be looking at crimes that (they will tell you) are “too big to prosecute”? Nixon was pardoned because the idea of an elected president going to jail was beyond the scope of what the system was willing to tolerate. Similarly, when all the cards that make up House of tRump start to fall, the Repugs (and maybe some Dems) are going to try and sell the idea that the office of the president will be irrevocably tarnished by prosecuting the crimes revealed.

As if tRump hasn’t already tarnished the office perhaps beyond all repair.

to state what he knew. The rethugs threatened him politically if he went out alone. No one it seems wanted to tell the American people that this was a stolen election. This is not as I first wrote mass denial, people were never told. The media was and is a big part of this. We had better wake up.

I know I'm not. And sending comments to the nytimes or DU isn't doing anything either.

The problem is we (democrats but really everyone who dislikes trump) need a leader and we just don't have one. The democratic party doesn't have a real leader. The senators and reps are all fighting each other. Now is the time when we need Obama but he shows no interest in being deep into it again, clinton has given up. And nobody else has the skills, intelligence or diplomacy to replace them.

In these times, more than ever before, we need another JFK. Enough time has past since the last election to have healed our wounds and come up with a cohesive, well thought out strategy, and a strong charismatic leader. But there is none. It’s almost like we’re handing the country over to Putin thanks to his successful efforts to get enough dirt on David Dennison, or Donald Baron, or John Smith, or whatever the hell he wants to call himself today (real presidential, huh?) to own the Oval Office, and the future of America. Well played, Vlad!! And, no doubt,he has more cards to play. We’ll see how soon after Trump gets his report card in Helsinki that the Russian sanctions are lifted, and Syria is handed over to Putin.

This entire scenario of which we are witnessing, is nearly beyond comprehension. We’re one piss hair away from total fascism, and the Dems are standing there with their thumbs up their butt.

Inconceivable!!!

John Bolton, on CNN, when queried about Russian meddling (overthrowing of a free and open election?) and the intel community saying there has been no directive from the tRump hierarchy to investigate tampering, said that all will be well by 2020. What? 2020??

Apparently they need and desire the Russian/Chinese/North Korean intervention apparatus to remain in full force during the mid terms.

Yesserie, this is going to be one hell of a mid-term election.
