People... we will need a policy wonk to put the pieces of the government back together. They are hollowing out every department. We will need someone who actually knows how the government functions... not another novice celebrity spotlight hogger.

How about someone with extensive experience in government? Avenatti is an articulate, attractive media spokesperson (I don't know yet if, in fact, he's a good lawyer because he hasn't been doing a whole lot of actual law), but the presidency needs more than that. After what Trump has done to it we will need someone who knows how to get down in the weeds and put it back together again.

Campaign Trail... So could former Sen Al Franken... In an amusing way!

I'm so sick of overly polite Dems taking the high road - it doesn't win elections!

2020 election won’t about policy. That ship has sailed in 2016. We are fighting to save the country (or what’s left of it by 2020). Let congress deal with policy. I think he doesnt really want to run but trying to challenge democrats to step up their game; go very bold against trump, dont spare words; dont try to be polite - we may need to swing some of those who voted for trump. This is war, not politics, so fight for the lives of american people like you mean it. Avenatti is a fighter.

Personally, I think it might not be a bad idea. These are not normal times and we need someone who can defeat Trump. Avenatti is one of the few people with the charisma, fire and strength to do that. So, he's not experienced and isn't a policy wonk. Neither is Trump. He is a lawyer and he is intelligent and would surround himself with experienced, intelligent people.

At this point, I just want somebody who can WIN. I would have to know more about his platform, but I am not willing to rule him out entirely. Unfortunately, we live in a very apathetic, ignorant nation and the candidate who dazzles the most is going to get the most people to the polls. I don't like it, but it's true.

for a great candidate. He'd be dominating the media 24/7 and winning every confrontation.

We need to ditch the personality du jour mentality in our presidential think/considerations. Avenatti is a morale booster and a strong democratic voice. But as a realistic presidential candidate? Not so much.
