I, for one, don't believe it. But who knows
My point here is that the above headline is outrageous and (probably) not true.
Yet, this is the kind of outrageous shit that Trump feeds Americans daily through his tweets, with his comments as he walks by the WH press corps, and during his calls to Fox "news."
Most of us find it incredible that millions of our fellow citizens gobble up the mindless crap that pours uninterrupted from his mouth.
So, not to be left out of the loop of know-nothingism that's currently infecting America, I'm rethinking my take on that headline. Perhaps, "those who say Donald Trump eats babies," know something we don't know.

I am sure they would be fine if Trump did eat babies.
They twist themselves in knots daily to defend the indefensible.

(6,252 posts)Faux news has perfected this tactic.
Step 1: One of their "opinion" commentators makes an outrageous statement.
Step 2: Repeat it for 2-3 days.
Step 3: Faux news commentators say "some people are saying..."
Step 4: Faux news accuses MSM of bias for not covering "story"

(10,303 posts)Well in this case it was a comedian called Freddie Starr, and the whole story was made up.
And the made-up story was published in... The Sun. Owned by... Rupert Murdoch.
Trump is a Tabloid President, complete with the gravitas of the National Enquirer.

(15,035 posts)And I agree with you that a countrywide campaign, claiming that Trump eats babies, might have, (or not), put Hillary in the White House.
The problem was the interference of the Russians, and James Comey. Gerrymandering. Voter suppression (by any and all means). "Lost" votes. And an American public that "buys" the outcome of the 2016 election as "fair." (Many of them also believe in unicorns.) It was an "election" that screwed America and put an extremely dangerous, ignorant buffoon in power.
Those three billboards worked well in a small town in a great movie.
The "billboards" we need today must be written across the night sky in a million stars suddenly going nova. (But then Hannity would explain it as some kind of "weird" anomaly, or a "Message from God," that "Trump is Great," and all the Foxheads would buy it.)
