Seriously, this is ridiculous

Schumer begs trump to consider Garland?!?!?!?!

Because I’m sure that at the same time republicans push through legislation to gut SS, Medicare and the ACA’s pre-existing conditions clause and trump is locking up children in dog cages and facilitating a massive international trade war and insulting our closest allies and friends and praising ruthless despots, that he would give serious consideration to a moderate former nominee for the USSC that republicans blocked for over a year.

Yep, seems legit.

Can we PLEASE stop normalizing trump and in any way legitimize him and his actions.

Politics is full of pushing things that have zero chance of actually happening.

There's rhetorical value in pointing out that the seat was stolen and this does that.

It was not rhetorical.

If it had been “rhetorical” than Schumer would have done it in a more public forum as a way to publicly call attention to what republicans did to Garland. This was a one-on-one phone call appeal to trump and “unity” with republicans.

It was yet another attempt to compromise because it’s worked out in a favor so often...

Obviously Schumer knows Trump won't relinquish the stolen SCOTUS seat. But should he just say "Thank you sir, please sir, may I have another?"

towards these repug bastards. Schumer needed to get in the well of the Senate, with cameras recording, we know how much he likes cameras, and blast McConnell and trump for stealing the seat.

And defend Maxine Waters while he's at it instead of chastising her as he did before.
