he makes, what reassurances he gives, if there is no record of the meeting.

Means nothing said there is binding or contractual. What a waste of time.

Unless the purpose is to allow Putin to tell Trump what to do.

I am suspicious about the tariffs on aluminum and steel. Is Trump planning to import those materials from Russia in the future, from his friends in the oligarchy of Russia in the future?

Put that question under questions to be asked and answered in the future.
