(11,244 posts)1. Are the world cup athletes dopers too?
That bike race is so tainted I could care less.

Team Sky has so many medical problems that it is inspiring to watch them overcome their afflictions to even ride a bike, let alone race them.
My favorites are the teams actually sponsored by pharmaceutical companies.

no one could care less about your opinion.
If you care so little why bother to disparage it?
Welcome to my ignore list.

(62,444 posts)9. That's why there's more than one jersey, and young rider
As boring as Sky can make a race, I try to look for some other competition than the yellow jersey, or pretend hes not there and go from #2 down.
If theres a small enough time gap between #3 and #4 near the end, then that battle for the podium is at least a sporting event among the scenery.
Frankly, its an excuse to pick a few spots in France and have a series of picnics (although we do have lodging on the route for a couple of stages, so we can either stream it or duck back inside.

Thats how you know the race is coming. Its a calm quiet picnic in the countryside, the publicity caravan (about an hour before the peloton) has gone by, and then.... choppers.
