Read some yrs ago that most prescription drugs sold in US come from China.
Also read that a high % of toys come from China.

And I know there has been concern that we are dependent on other countries for most [prescriptions.

If US companies are outsourcing drugs taken internally, that is incredibly dangerous, because the big Corp tendency is to chase to the lowest cost producer (but sell for top dollar). Drugs can end up being made in places where purposeful contamination would be a real risk.

I expect China will tell our high techs that if you want them you must move your manufacturing to China.
