(5,491 posts)Which is why they are going after her. Latest polls have her pulling ahead for the nomination and slightly up in a head to head with the likely Republican candidate.
The big fear for Republicans this year is that the marijuana legalization initiative on the ballot will get out the vote for the Dems. Looks like with this they are trying to stir the pot (no pun intended) to weaken Whitmar ahead of the primary.
Should be interesting from now until the fall. I live in rural southwest MI where poor people and farmers vote for Republicans. It'll be interesting to watch this crowd come November. I've heard some rumblings.

(52,130 posts)You can feel free to treat the information in any way you wish but I fail to see how simply reporting the news is problematic. It apparently is true that the GOP group paid for the ad. The paper reported that fact. Isn't that what newspapers are supposed to do, print the news?

(11,790 posts)Whitmer has been getting the same criticism from her opponents Shri Thanedar & Abdul El-Sayed. According to the link, the campaign initially thought the ads were placed by one of them.
