I really do admire Susan Anthony. She made a very positive difference.
Her struggle, or rather her merciless struggles, has left to posterity several powerful quotes.

(63,221 posts)Thanks for posting this syringis! I remember being drawn to her in 3rd grade, where I took a biography out about her in my school library. She has always been an inspiration for me. I also read about Jane Addams at that time as well.
I don't know why I gravitated toward them, but I can picture exactly where I was in the library and I just read a few paragraphs and was hooked. I just loved reading about them because I felt that their truths were my truths, even at that very young age I had a social and feminist consciousness.
