I just read a post on Facebook that described Trump as a hoofwanking thundercunt. While I am disinclined to doubt the accuracy of this description, I am not sure that I understand the meaning of the terms. Could someone help?

(182,802 posts)Hoofwanking Bunglecunt
A term used to define someone who has surpassed the point required to be just a "wanker" or a "cunt".
Said person is in a league of their own when it comes to upsetting, offending, or hurting people either mentally or physically, thus requiring this insult too be hurled at them.

Thundercunt:
The pinnacle of all English swearwords, thundercunt is phoenetically, spiritually, grammatically, and socially the worst thing you can ever say. Much like a Holy Hand Grenade or the most powerful zordfrom Power Rangers, it should only be used in times of extreme need
A term used to describe a person who is acting like such a cunt, that they alter the Earth's meteorological behaviour, resulting in near-apocalyptic storms with lethal levels of thunder. This is the worst level of cunt you can get.

(7,952 posts)Prime Ministers Questions is the funniest half hour on TV. Of course they always start off with "The right honorable gentleman..." and then smack em upside the head. Of course the chorus of "Hear! Hear!" only adds to the hilarity.

(29,067 posts)I'm not fond of their prolific use of the sexist slur "cunt" as a perjorative.

(29,067 posts)As an example, ask yourself whether the N word causes you problems when or if it we're hurled.at Whites. I think it would, and rightly so -- It's a slur rooted in racism, just as "cunt" is a slur rooted in misogyny.

(8,431 posts)guess that's a slur against women's breasts.

(29,067 posts)or is this just wilfull ignorance being displayed?
If you really don't, try calling someone a "cunt" or a "tit" in America -- in front of a woman, perhaps -- and see how well that goes down.

(47,430 posts)I hate the most, but it is my understanding that it has a different meaning in England.

(17,339 posts)And back in the 70's Peter Cook and Dudley Moore explored the term to its fullest.
Warning - the use of the term is frequent in the recording.
whathehell
(29,067 posts)It's not acceptable in America. Period.

(17,339 posts)It's old English. And in the case of Tr**p, applicable.
whathehell
(29,067 posts)Research the old English word for "scumbag" -- That would be "applicable"
If you can't insult Trump without insulting women, your vocabulary is worse than his.

(3,622 posts)Just thought I'd point out that insulting women takes many forms.
Not proud of it at all.

(25,485 posts)but men seem to have more insults than woman...
bluecollar2
(3,622 posts)That being called a "cow" was much more offensive than being called a "cunt".
I think I would probably agree if I was a woman...but then I'm not...so I have no grounds.
I do think that, if given the opportunity, I might call Betsy DeVos a bloody cow before I called her a cunt...
Just as I would have Maggie Thatcher...
Just my preference.

(29,067 posts)Or do you REALLY think women need a primer on the "diversity"
of sexist slurs to which they've been subjected all their lives?
I don't know what it's like in the UK, dear, but in this country progressive politics mandates a respect for women and an acknowledgement of their oppression. I'd suggest you come back
when you're able to demonstrate an understanding of that fact.

(7,629 posts)I am not sure we Americans are credible anymore when it comes to lecturing other cultures about respect of women in particular and everybody in general. Like it or not, we (not you or me or dems but we, the country) elected Trump and the true nature of a significant part of our citizenry is on display for the world to see.
whathehell
(29,067 posts)I am sure that when "we Americans" feel we're being being baited or otherwise offended by a foreign guest on our board, we have every right to educate him or her as to our cultural and political mores. This isn't "lecturing", it's informing.

(3,622 posts)And I wasn't trying to bait anyone.
I've been in America since 1975 and I'm well aware of the issues faced by women in this country.
Perhaps you should go back and reassess my earlier postings and the context in which they were made before you become so condescending....
dear...
whathehell
(29,067 posts)but if you were truly "aware of all the issues women face" you wouldn't be promoting the use of sexist slurs for laughs or insults. Nor would you offer up laughably lame reasons for baiting me, like you "just thought" I might be interested in the "many forms insults to women can take"...Yeah, right. .
Sorry, but I think I'll pass on your other posts, dear, Judging by what you've written here, I doubt I'd be impressed.

(14,738 posts)The other is that is sounds good to the person doing the insulting.
Many of the currently popular insults like cockwomble are used because they sound good as insults.
