We can organize, round up voters, register folks, canvas our neighborhoods, give people rides to vote and yell our name from the roof tops, but if the Russians interfere with the elections like they did in 2016, it won’t matter. Our intel experts have warned us repeatedly that they did it before and have every intention of doing it again. And you can bet they are meddling to make sure their side wins.

We need to be pushing for investigation or examination of the voting apparatus and it needs to be happening now. Dirty tricks and fake news are going on now. Attention on Election eve or day will be too late. It may be too late now, but we need assurances that all those votes are counted correctly.

tRump has been emboldened and he continues to be louder and uglier than ever. And it is because he has been assured by Putin that he can relax, the fix is in. He really could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and no one would flinch. Well, SOME of us might , but this election is still set in his favor. (I know his name isn’t on the ballot this time but the election will seal our fates with the final takeover and imbalance of power.)

So while I appreciate and completely understand the need for every vote we can get, it won’t matter if the Russians make sure they are not counted fairly. Our intel people warned us before the 2016 election that there was something foul going on and yet a sizeable majority of us were stunned at the outcome. Let us at least address the Russian interference in 2018 and see if we can stop that from happening again. We all know what is at stake, don’t we??
