Russian broadcasters mocked the Republican lawmakers who visited Moscow over the Fourth of July holiday and gloated about the Kremlins role in electing President Donald Trump.
Seven U.S. senators and one congresswoman Sens. Steve Daines (R-MT), John Hoeven (R-ND), Ron Johnson (R-WI), John Kennedy (R-LA), Jerry Moran (R-KS), Richard Shelby (R-AL), John Thune (R-SD) and Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX) traveled to Russia for closed-door meetings with high-ranking Kremlin officials.

(14,782 posts)It's a f*cking mystery!!!
This should lay bare for all to see the obvious lie that GOPers will try to sell that these Senators and Reps went there to talk tough to Putin or any other fiction they think sounds good for the US -- the very act of going there was from the beginning a guaranteed no-win for the US, and they all knew it.
They are traitors. Not just for being in Putin's pocket (some may in fact not be) but for doing things which they KNOW will hurt the US.

What trouble did we cause? one Russian TV analyst said last week, before the senators arrived. We just elected Trump, thats all.'

Ron Johnson of WI seemed to be the lone exception? He must have talked with Trump or Putin before making his announcement that "sanctions" might ought to be lifted?? Uh-huh...
