Mr. Mueller's team has evidence that Manafort's bank fraud case is indeed tied directly to the Trump campaign. See:

Call it speculation on my part, but I bet this will be a big story this weekend. This makes, I believe, two days in a row that Team Mueller has filed court documents on Manafort. Today's appear to me to be more significant than Thursday's.

"Finish it the Hell UP" Bc the President needs the money for golf and greens and cart fees. Nevermind we spent 90 million on HRC....

(73,333 posts)I'm thinking that Trump must be in a foul mood today. I expect he'll be hard to control. Likely we'll see Rudy G blathering on shows this weekend.

(64 posts)Is that Manafort is in solitary confinement. Being in solitary is an excruciating psychological situation that breaks the strongest of people. Alone with nothing but his thoughts, coupled with the reality of his impending imprisonment should scare the hell out of him, and I hope it breaks him down to sobbing, hysteria and abject fear.
He should hang.

(7,947 posts)or something like that -- a few years ago, before he got involved with the Trump campaign.

He'd been involved in an expensive affair with a woman who liked to instagram about how much money he spent on her. His daughters were telling their mother to dump his ass. He was in tears, and ended up going into a, well, what we used to call an asylum. I guess now it's just a stress center.
Anyway, while he acts tough, he apparently is pretty fragile, and has already suffered a breakdown requiring hospitalization.
Not that I wish him ill, LOL. But ... well, this is someone who likes to pal around with oligarchs. He's not really prepped for solitary.
Then again, it's supposedly for his own protection. Against... someone hired by Putin?
It would be irresponsible not to speculate.

(64 posts)You were kind in not wishing him I'll but I am not. He has helped empower the worst man to be President in the history of this country who is in the process of kidnapping children and holding them hostage, rebuilding our judiciary to overturn Roe and Obergefell, enabling the criminal enterprise known as the GOP to gut our government and....the list is endless. Plus...treason.
I do wish Manafort ill. Death would be too easy. He shouldn't get off that simply. He needs to suffer for the rest of his life, in a series of horrific mental breakdowns that render him frightened and terrified, daily, for the rest of his life.

(14,167 posts)Yeah -- I hope he has a nervous breakdown. I don't think he will last long in prison.
Trump has a lot of blood on his hands.
Manafort may or may not be in solitary. I've heard he is in segregation, and that his lawyers are calling this solitary.
But, if he indeed is, that is hard, even for a strong person. My friend Rubin was subjected to long periods of solitary confinement. Perhaps the best scene in the movie "The Hurricane" shows the breakdown he experienced early on in his incarceration, while in solitary. It can be brutal.

I think it would be more difficult for Trump to pardon Manafort now.
