These Boys Trapped In The Cave - Wouldn't A System Like This Help In This Situation?......

The Self-Contained Backpack system utilizes a stainless steel backpack with integrated air supply (air cylinder). A continuous flow of air is supplied to each helmet, without air lines running to the surface.

the way out is around 3 miles, some of it very narrow and twisty.

meaning also the diving skills to get out of there, are highly technical. As in, it's not just a simple lark of a dive. It's complicated and difficult, and will not be at all solved by some sort of simple system like this.
