5. I get your thinking on this, but there's a fatal flaw in the "make them think" strategy:

They don't believe any of the crap they push. They only use their putative beliefs as clubs to beat up on people. Pro-lifers, for example, are not fazed when shown they don't have any compassion for actual children. They knew it all along.
