12% on a 5k job turns that sale into a extra 600 dollars so now you have a bill of 5600. Did I miss something,60% of US households can't find 400 bucks in a emergency. WTF!

I wonder how much we need to temper our message to conservatives in other red states? Say, WV or AL? We gotta keep those seats, so I guess the patience we exercise for conservatives is contingent on if we have seats in that state?

This isn't really about your post, but you're the first one I saw regarding how we can't "help these people". I no longer think that is an absolute and is instead very subjective to other priorities. Cheers.

I'm just tired of saying we have to keep red state seats by kowtowing to conservative voters while simultaneously dismissing those voters as the enemy. Personally, I can't fucking stand conservatives, but which is more important to people: sucking up to conservatives in states where we have congressional seats OR disparaging them as dumbasses who aren't worth our time? Too many seem to want it both ways and I'm sick of the disingenuous shit.

The nail manufacturer.

Harley-Davidson employees.

Soybean farmers.

Yes, we're being hurt, but we understand what he's trying to do.

On the one hand, it sounds like a mass masochistic psychosis. Maybe it is. But it's also a reality that these people would rather be hurt, and ask for more pain, than risk voting D and having non-white people getting "stuff" that they - white people - more rightfully deserve. That's really what it comes down to, IMHO.

I have been pulling my hair out for decades, since the early 90s when as a young adult I saw how insane these people were over Clinton. Knew it was all bullshit, and self destructive, but while they obviously were comfortable with race baiting, I never could bring myself to directly assign it to racism.

But ... it is all out in the open now, and there is no way to avoid it.

I know that's the favored narrative of the popular media, the economic angzieties, but this nitwit and his ideological compatriots all seem to think that their suffering will be short term and the reward will be long term. We'll probably find out how long that short term of suffering will last before they get dislodged from their Trump uber alles position.

that while it hurts them personally, they still support Trump because he's a "brilliant businessman" and he "must be doing it for a reason."

That said, we just need a handful out of every 100 to not vote Republican to win elections. Just 1 Trump voter in 100 deciding not to vote or voting 3rd Party swings PA, WI and MI to Clinton. 1 in 75 Trump voters swings NC and FL to Clinton as well.

“Hundreds of thousands of new jobs”. Think about that for a second.

* The birth rate is the lowest it has been in 30 years.

* The huge Baby Boom generation is retiring en masse.

* The unemployment rate is 4%.

* Current jobs go unfilled for lack of an adequate labor pool.

* These same right wingers want to worsen the labor pool situation by kicking out every last undocumented immigrant.

QUESTION: In the right wing fantasy scenario of hundreds of thousands of new jobs, WHERE THE HELL DO THESE MORONS THINK EMPLOYERS ARE GOING TO FIND THAT LABOR POOL ?
