I cannot believe it!

I just got back from having lunch with an old friend of mine, an outspoken Republican.

I did not broach politics until the very end. And then, when I did, the walls came down!

"I did not vote for him. I did not vote for Hillary either, because I knew Maryland was safe. I did a write-in."

"Then man is such a crook! How does he get away with it? I am sure that the State of New York has a number of investigations going on right now."

"How could he get a $100 million tax deduction for donating a property he bought for $ 2 million [The Donald J. Trump State Park in New York]. They need to investigate his tax returns. Now!"

"I am afraid for the Republic."

I met my first Republican never-Trumper! We shook hands... (He is an old friend of mine, I need to re-assert)

If Trump has antagonized George Will, any decent Republican will agree with Will and follow his advice.

Guess that's something if other republicans write in someone else.

At least trump won't get those votes if he survives Mueller and runs in 2020.

Which means one thing: If it was a toss, he maybe would have actually cast his vote for Hillary

His main objection to Hillary was one reservation I had the previous time she ran:

Bush
Clinton
Bush
Clinton

What does that say about a democracy?

Fortunately it became:

Bush
Clinton
Bush
Obama

(I did support and back Hillary 100% in 2016. He would have rather seen Bernie, he told me.)

I’ve only heard of them on tv and media. I have yet to meet one. I wonder who did he vote for in the primary?
