Every day it’s worse! Breast milk is the way infants get all the antibodies needed to fight all sorts of disease, AND IT’S FREE!!! The formula people probably PAID them off!

NYTimes: U.S. Tried to Block Resolution Endorsing Breast-Feeding

A resolution to encourage breast-feeding was expected to be approved quickly and easily by the hundreds of government delegates who gathered this spring in Geneva for the United Nations-affiliated World Health Assembly...

Then the United States delegation, embracing the interests of infant formula manufacturers, upended the deliberations.

American officials sought to water down the resolution by removing language that called on governments to “protect, promote and support breast-feeding” and another passage that called on policymakers to restrict the promotion of food products that many experts say can have deleterious effects on young children.

When that failed, they turned to threats, according to diplomats and government officials who took part in the discussions...

In the end, the Americans’ efforts were mostly unsuccessful. It was the Russians who ultimately stepped in to introduce the measure — and the Americans did not threaten them.

2. They are afraid of women because there are more of us than them. If the women get

enough of their horrid ways, they know we can change the course of the future without raising a sweat.

If we get enough women in congress, it will be a totally different story in what they are able to do. The old white men better watch their step because women are starting to make their presence felt.

One of the main reasons they are so anti-abortion is because they are afraid women will start to just carry girls babies to term and change the equation even more.

4. I have told my two young adult daughters

that it's time for them to take over! They are both smart, hard working, and very engaged in what is going on in the world.

Men have screwed things up for too long.

Makes me think of RBG's response to the question "How many women should be on the Supreme Court?" Her answer: "Nine. Nobody ever minded that it has always been nine men."

3. Vile - particularly problematic in parts of the world with unclean water

Breast feeding is absolutely the best for babies. In third world countries that do not have access to clean water where Nestle etc. have pushed the use of formula, it has been a disaster. There are some people who cannot breast feed (low milk production, etc.), but to promote that powdered crap over mothers' milk is disgusting.

Whenever I think that this administration cannot go any lower, SURPRISE!
