We live in scary times

My coworker and her family are PoC and many in her family were not born here but have been here most of not all their lives. We all live in the same very blue state.

Her BIL was getting into his car the other day and felt and saw a bunch of water hit his car as he got in.

He got back out and looked around and his white elderly neighbor was standing near the car with a water hose.

He asked him if he sprayed his car and the neighbor started soaking him down with hose and calling him names.

Shortly afterward the police were called.

The neighbor’s excuse was he felt threatened and was defending himself.

The cops said there was nothing they could do because it was a he said/he said argument except only one of those “he” was soaked to the bone.

The vibe was and tone was definitely uncomfortable from the telling.

We live in very sad times

As a generalization I hate this world and everything in it. A piece of me wishes they would just cut to the chase and end it all

BUT

I am very well known stubborn asshole and that part of me refuses to give a single inch to these jerks...I don’t care how many names they might call me or how bad I’m beaten, they can kiss my ass!!

I will never give them the satisfaction of seeing me break or compromising my values.

Im here to the bitter end and I will come to the aid of the disenfranchised and forgotten, no matter what.
