The Thai people simply own me now.

Members of the Moo Pa soccer club played their first game yesterday since the cave saga began. The coach used his post game interview to call for an end to discrimination against undocumented kids in Thailand. “This is where they are equal [on the soccer field].” #ThaiCaveRescue

Mae Bua Chaicheun is a rice farmer. Her rice paddies were destroyed by the 130million liters of water pumped from the cave in the rescue mission. Her response: ”Children are more important than rice. We can regrow rice but we can’t regrow the children.”#caverescue #ThaiCaveRescue

But it would be great if someone with some money compensated her for the loss of her rice paddy income. Seems possible to me.

I can tell if my wife is at the gym if the ants on the street are happy.

During the morning she puts aside Apple core and orange peels and cuts them into small pieces.

In my way home if I see the ants are happy, eating a little fruit in a hundred degree weather.

You can see the ants are happy.

She was born in a little farm without electricity 8 miles from the cave. Her mother gave birth and then finished the dinner for 12 children.

Her mother never said a bad word against another person her entire life, and I met her daughter at the Bangkok airport 35 years ago.

She is tall for a Thai and movie producers would literally stop on the street and offer her screen tests.

When I sat next to her on the airplane flying to Singapore I couldn't help telling her I recognized her. She asked if I had see a common hair shampoo commercial which you would see a dozen times a day.

I said yes but she looked different. She was having a hard time keeping weight on because she had become a widow 6 months ago when a policeman had shot her husband who, like Serpico, was targeted when he was the only officer who refused to take a bribe. A friend of hers bought a ticket to Singapore and they were going to get away for a week.
