Apparently, "Elections have consequences" should have been dumbed down.

The saying is perfectly correct, but it is a thinking person's version of what the risk was/is with Trump. I know that the saying was not totally used to motivate people to vote in the general election, but it was in part.

It should have been something like this... "Listen man, you need to vote. Do you have any idea what will happen if Trump gets in? We're gonna be fucked 6 ways to Sunday. The supreme court is going to be republican for the next 40 years. Do you know what that means, man? No legal abortion. No ACA, women's rights will be fucked with...these things and everything you stand for is going to be messed with and your life will change and Melissa's life will change and her little baby's life will change. It's gonna happen and you're gonna feel it everyday for the rest of your life. So get your ass off the couch, pay attention, do your part, and vote man. I FUCKING MEAN IT...GET YOUR ASS TO THE FUCKING VOTING BOOTH."

I promise, I’ll get there.

LuckyC, I agree with you but I truly believe even that tactic wouldn’t have made much difference then. Americans are Americans, most live on cruise control.
