Goodby Birth Control. Kavanaugh Is Catholic. Catholics Prohibit Any Form Of BC.

The only kind of birth control Catholic Church accepts is ABSTINENCE during fertile times. No condoms, no sterilization of any kind, and no abortion to save the woman. Catholic hospitals will not interfere with a dangerous pregnancy and most likely will not remove a dead fetus. And will not treat an ectopic pregnancy.

When I was in Catholic school we were tole that every sex act must include the INTENTION to have a child. Sex for pleasure was forbidden.

On top of that any sex outside of marriage is evil and a sin. And all LGBT are destined to hell and are abnormal and sick. Being gay is a sin in some Catholic circles. And NO marriage can be dissolved. .

Personhood bills in individual states could survive, but I do not see that becoming a National Law for some time. If the US becomes a theocracy, yep, but I think those in power desire more of a kleptocracy. Those in power want wealth and more power and just use religion as a means to stay in power where they can continue to consolidate wealth and steal public resources.

Contraception will still be available to those that can afford it, but expect fewer insurance policies to cover it as conservative employers will claim their Religious Freedom is being violated, and pharmacies will be able to refuse to stock contraception. Insurance rates will go up for everyone because pregnancies and giving birth are much more expensive than the cost of contraception. I suppose one could suggest offering insurance policies without prenatal and maternity care, but that would kind of defeat any personhood law grandstanding.

With Kavanaugh there will be five. There may be six - Neil Gorsuch was raised Catholic but attends an Episcopalian church and it is unclear if he considers himself a Catholic or a Protestant.

A Catholic dominated SC gave us gay marriage so I think your concerns are somewhat over the top.

While abortion rights are under serious attack by Republicans at all times, there will not be any states passing laws to ban birth control such that there will be a test case.

I've been inside the abortion rights battle since 1981 and it has always been the main contention of NARAL and NOW and other abortion rights organizations that Abortion is a wedge issue. The real prize for the forced birthers and the Catholics is the restriction of birth control.
Make no mistake, once they have removed Roe they will go after birth control.

It will begin with the religious freedom argument that will allow pharmacists to not fill prescriptions and then will progress to pressure on Doctors and, of course, the complete defunding of Planned Parenthood. When women can't afford to see a Doctor, because they have no health care and Planned Parenthood is gone... the availability of birth control will already be compromised... it will not be difficult to go in for the kill from there.

to what is going on ...

This guy's entire "judicial philosophy" is whatever crazy ass shit conservatives believe at the moment is "constitutional" and whatever they don't believe is "unconstitutional."

But, that stands for four other sitting SCJs, likely after judge they have seated in the last several years, every elected R, the endless steam of conservative media profiteers, and and 1/3 of the braindead "base" ...

and so is Roberts. Have they touched Birth Control? Come on now, the Church has evolved, a bit slow, but it did. My daughter is a doctor in a Catholic Hospital. They do not perform abortions, but they will do so to save the mother or there is a dead fetus and in a ectopic pregnancy.

The Church is at least nominally opposed to birth control, but the vast majority of Catholics in this Country are not. Catholicism is a straw man in the conversation about eligibility for the Court.
