That the SCOTUS seat was bargained for so as to have it filled prior to the midterm elections is

a criminal defrauding of the American people’s right to self governance.

Supreme Court seats are not for sale, nor are they to be bargaining chips in a political Ponzi scheme. To the great and eternal shame of the retiring justice, his name to be left unspoken, he bartered that which he had no right to. He did not own the position and had no kingly right to select his successor.

Democrats and other decent Americans must resist this usurpation of our right to self governance to the fullest. Anyone who votes to affirm this selection needs to be voted out of office based on this, period.

This action by the extremists in our government is nothing more than a coup. This selection MUST be defeated.

As I said in previous posts, expect Justice Thomas' seat to come up for sale next. He has always wanted more money. I suggested he get an agent to represent him so he can get the maximum amount.

Antifa show up to do the hard work...they're shunned and reigned in by the left. Being against fascism isn't a bad thing. They ARE the folks who will put their lives on the line in the American Front of this battle. Peaceful protest is what the gop wants. It doesn't frighten the cops into shooting people and they get some over-time in their combat gear, no corporations suffer damage, little happens unless millions of people get into the street and clog up the works. That type of co-ordination happens infrequently. Antifa may be the American Underground, before the second war of the States. No different than militias or whatever the right relies on in their fantasies of killing every Liberal alive..(bc we are what? Liberals? Look up the definition...hows being a Liberal bad?) If folks feel strong enough to fight for us and do the tough work, they should be supported and enlarged. Playing nice will end this country. I don't like it, but, they have put us in yet ANOTHER untenable position, and if we don't get mad as hell about it...we are going down.
Not in my lifetime. And if history is a guide, any time now, a war will rear it's ugly head to cement the gains of the right in Korea or Iran, or Venezuela(What?). Budget be damned.
They are ignorant thugs on the other side and they cheat and manipulate. They come off as threatening, threaten gun violence, and zero happens to them. Playing by the rules? We will lose. We need a new and heavy front. Either that, or, we need to support people who are mad enough to go head to head with corn-pone backwards ass thinkers, before it's too late. This isn't working. We've had good protest turn-outs, but, they shrug their shoulders and continue on w their plan. What are we prepared to do to save our country? I'm not sure. Protests need to continue, but, when the shit gets sticky...why not have our own heavies? In the end, we are talking about mutual hand to hand fighting that folks consent to. It's not terrorism. It's a brawl for the future of our country, akin to the slug-fests auto workers picket lines looked like in Michigan between Detroit and Flint. If you know your opponent isn't going to hurt you, you can be as cavalier as you wish, and the gop does just that, act cavalier and ugly, and they are ripping us apart to the horror of the rest of the world as well. When do we put some lead in the pencil and send over a little fear of our own? Or is it just the role of Democrats to hand wring and worry and hope? Seems a change is in order. We can be tough w integrity. Maybe the time has come?

The Orange Oaf shouldn't be allowed to pick a tie, much less a Supreme Court justice.

in the Senate to prevent this appointment. We can create our own coup by getting out the vote in record numbers and flipping both the House and Senate. If we fail, the consequences are too dire to consider. It can get worse.

Other than here on DU, I haven’t seen anything that indicates Kennedy had anything to do with the pick.
