The GOP is clearly willing to do anything to stay in power

The White Wing is so afraid of the demographic shift that conspiracy with Russia, wholesale voter suppression, ballot rigging (likely), destruction of all Congressional norms, SCOTUS/federal court stuffing, reverse Robin Hood taxes, dooming women and the poor to no or substandard health care, family separations and internment, rampant misogyny, and outright anti-Christian behavior are not only being tolerated, but touted as Making America Great Again!

I just hope I'm still around to see us lift our heads out of the swamp to turn back to the American Dream of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, FDR, JFK, RFK, MLK, and BHO.

I'll be doing my part to fight this mess.

Myself included.

It could be some 40 to 50 years before the Republic and rule of law are reestablished by Democrats through judicial appointments and the political process.

If after the Nov elections, nothings changed, then it'll be time for deep despair. Keep your chin up.
We are the majority, and crime doesn't pay.

First Nixon, then Carter.

First Reagan/Bush, Then Clinton.

First W, then Obama.

Now Trump, then will we get another major correction?

The swings are getting wider each time, just hope Trump doesn't take us over the Event Horizon so we have a chance to return to sanity.

Even with a RW SCOTUS, that is only one branch and sanity at the state level would blunt many of the more outrageous actions.

This is certainly a case where human activity is the primary cause.

Not in a good way. My time is almost up but I cry for my Granddaughter and the young women who will lose the rights they take for granted today. Democratic and Republican women will all feel despair and anger as the courts and government start ripping it all away.

Assuming we can hold the line until 2020, RBG might decide to retire. That would give a Dems the chance to place a younger version for 30+ years. Also, Thomas might not last too much longer, that would make his spot available to swing back to the left. Not sure about Breyer's intentions, but he'd be next in line.

If those played out, really the only long term change would be to our advantage to get back the slot Thurgood Marshall held. We were robbed of moving left with the last slot, but maybe they've overplayed their hand.

Obviously speculative and 2 years of crap would suck.

The fight has never stopped.

Their master will start a major conflict with the help of Russia. The economy is going down.

Unfortunately many will suffer, but the fight continues.

That's always been a big part of their agenda: simply preventing anyone else from changing things.
