It's OK to be "down" about the putrid politics we are forced to endure. But, please remember

that much of the negativity we see and hear is corporate crafted bs. "Fake news"? No, not really, but inaccurate nonetheless. The motivation in most cases is greed, not partisanship.

The media too often prints/broadcasts/blogs whatever seems the most controversial because it is controversy that gets the most readers/viewers/clicks.

Democrats apparently mounting a "Blue Wave"? Media soon finds something---anything--- to contradict that or cast doubt on it.

Democrats have a wealth of qualified candidates? Report that as "Dems Hopelessly Splintered!"

Add into this corporate profit motive to create contrarian memes the fact that Putin's trolls are still planting pro-Trump propaganda and sowing discord wherever they see an opening. Is it any wonder we have to fight our way out of a funk a couple times a week?

Take a walk. Watch some comedy. Read that book you've been meaning to get to.

And, trust your innate sense of what is real and genuine as you evaluate what you get from the media. It's ok to just say "That doesn't seem true for me" and then just wipe that bit of "breaking news" out of your mind.
