People for the American Way conference call-re Kavanaugh

With Senators Warren and Booker.
One of the recommendations they made was reaching out to Corker and Flake, emphasizing Kavanaugh's belief in the unitary executive. Since Collins is already waffling as we expected, maybe that is a possibility.
Of course they always but vote with him on everything, so probably not but I need to cling to some hope.

They'll make noises about making an informed decision about Kavanaugh, but in the end they will vote as McConnell tells them to.

Could he perhaps be in the middle of a golf course during a thunder storm?

Might be as good an option as we're gonna' get.

That Jimmy Chao be caught with 40 kg of cocaine again- but that this time, it be somewhere he can't easily bribe his way out.

collins may get primaried if votes no so I wouldn’t count on her. Flake will lose his credibility as legit conservative by voting no so I won’t count on him (he wants a post politics career). Murkowski may also get primaried if votes no. McCain will only cast no if it’s a deciding vote (hero syndrome) but looks like he may not go to DC to vote at all. If Collins does not seek reelection then she may vote down but she doesn’t like to be the deciding vote... Dire situation. Corker?? (he is more conservative that all of the above).
