Dem pollster: Party can win economic fight if it's on wages

The Hill

Democracy Corps managing director Nancy Zdunkewicz says Democrats should make their economic messaging ahead of November's midterm elections about stagnant wages.

"I think that people are also, at the same time as they're able to admit that there are more jobs available in their area, [they're] equally likely or more likely to say that those jobs just don't pay what they used to, and that's a real problem," Zdunkewicz told Hill TV's Joe Concha on "What America's Thinking."

Zdunkewicz said Democrats shouldn't keep arguing that strong jobs growth under President Trump is just something he inherited from former President Obama.

Instead, she says, they should focus on the middle class and poor voters who are continuing to struggle despite the economy's gains.
