We would walk the two blocks from our elementary school carrying backpacks that contained a bleach bottle filled with water, hard candy, and a can of Dinty Moore beef stew. This was called an emergency drill. We walked to the railroad tracks where we were told if there was a real emergency a train would be waiting to whisk us all to safety. Right.

I’m pretty sure our teacher thought the whole exercise was bullshit, because we would happily eat the hard candy and she didn’t care.

but they're coming almost daily now. In fact, we've just had our second within 7 hours.

Perhaps they're ramping them up due to drump's trip this week, in case he starts WW3.
