I don't think there's any question that Trump resents powerful women.

(15,499 posts)Probably why we never hear much about his mother. I am also convinced she was the one who wanted him sent away. I would stake my life that he hated his mother.

(16,046 posts)When Donald Trumps father, Fred Sr., died in 1999, the roughly $20 million inheritance was divided up among his children and their descendants, other than my son Fred C. Trump Jr., according to the Times.
Donald Trump had helped draft the will. At the time, Freddy Trumps children sued, claiming Donald Trump and his siblings had used undue influence over their grandfather, who had dementia.
Donald retaliated by withdrawing the medical benefits he had promised to his nephews infant son, who suffered from seizures that led to cerebral palsy, according to the Times.
What many people don't realize is that his siblings agreed with him, on withdrawing the medical benefits to an infant!
They won't be saying anything against him!

(505 posts)She will never let personal feelings (or disgust) get in the way of politics. She had to deal with terrible politicians from all over the world, I guess she can handle Trump in the way that is best for the EU, NATO and Germany. Refusing to shake hands sounds very satisfying, but not a great idea in the long run!

(7,768 posts)They called him a human wrecking ball. They're asking,"Are we are witnessing the destruction of NATO?" "This is a crisis!"
They're saying that what he is doing couldn't please Putin more!
Joe said Congress should be on the Capitol Steps calling him out in front of cameras RIGHT FUCKING NOW!

Yeah, there's nothing like undermining the leader of an ally by making it clear you prefer the man who just resigned from her government. Or arranging to meet him, although he no longer holds a government position:
Well make everything possible if the president wants to do something, he said. Boris Johnson has been a friend of the president, was a friend during the election and he has a warm and close relationship with the president.
...
So I have Nato, I have the UK which is in somewhat turmoil, and I have Putin. Frankly, Putin may be the easiest of them all. Who would think! Who would think. But the UK certainly has a lot of things going on, he said.
Boris Johnsons a friend of mine, hes been very nice to me, very supportive and maybe Ill speak to him when I get over there. I like Boris Johnson, Ive always liked him.

(46,794 posts)We've seen it time and time again. He finds intelligent, powerful women threatening and often goes on the offense before they can intimidate them. Hillary rattled him during a debate when she accused him of being Putin's puppet and looked at him like a disapproving teacher.
