General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsOver the years, we have had a discussion in CT about electing rich Republican candidates for office
because they are "businessmen who know how to run a business."
Perhaps you have seen this same type of ad in your state.
Running a business is nothing like running a state government. It just isn't.
Lots of rich Republicans in CT want to convince people that they can run government because they became very rich and they are convinced that they can do the same thing as the governor of the state of CT.
This is a perversion of the truth. Business and government are two different things. Government should NEVER be run that way and for good reason.

(63,769 posts)Ned is an enlightened person who can help CT. He will also run as a Dem and be very good for us and for this country. I am thinking of the Rowland years and all the time he wasted with his crooked schemes and policies.
I think Dan Malloy has served CT well. As he moves on I hope we will have more of our liberal choices for government.

(7,725 posts)that the people will profit....oh how wrong that is. the corp model gives the profits to shareholders. The corp govt model gives profits to the 1% in tax cuts. Corporate reform needs to happen soon.
Government treats everyone the same. Corporations and businessmen/women...do NOT.
Is it hot in CT too??
