The pattern and fabric resemble semi-sheer bedroom curtains. Her shoes look heavy for such a sheer, delicate fabric.

It was modeled after actress Ursula Andres who was a Bond girl in Rump’s much younger days. Costly I bet, but good for her. When he topples over, she’ll have to attract another rich old fart. Excellent plannng.

Wait, is it at the tax payers expenses ? In the name of what ?

I can understand there's a budget dedicated to her clothes when she's involved in an event, but here it is not the case. She doesn't have any official role nor represents anything in a NATO summit.

Not that her husband represents much more... but he has the title...

go on vacation and buy clothes. All I had to do was Google "Daily Mail Michelle Obama's dresses" and "Michelle Obama sparks fury after splashing out on 6,800 designer jacket for Buckingham Palace reception" popped up along with a long list of similar. My European friends would post such things and I'd have to beg them not to fall for these silly smear pieces. But when it's a Republican First Lady nobody cares.

Actually, it rather looks like it was the dress pattern mock-up for a different dress using a couple of yardage store discount end rolls (from the household section, where a lot of fabric good for patterns can be found - that fabric pattern really doesn't look like most figured lace veil and sheathing fabric I've seen near the bridal areas) and bias tape, and she saw it on the tailor's mannequin and thought it would look cool and sexy for the summer.

That whole yoked midsection area is not flattering at all with that neckline - should be either scoop necked or high choker with a sheer collar yoke area. With her bust size and that high a décolletage, she needs to be wearing princess lines on her dress instead of all those bias tape bits to "highlight her assets".

The whole thing just looks - uncomfortable and vaguely American garage sale. Like a runway model's dress was re-cut for her - to measurements that were just emailed to the tailor rather than actually measured in person.
While I appreciated the blue jacket dress she wore for the coup ceremony as being well made and appropriate for such an event, I couldn't see a high level political wife from any first world country wearing professional clothes the way she generally does.
Even Laura Bush's famously "Texas/Frontier/Down Home" fashion outfits fit much better and looked more appropriate for the events.
