Cathy Myers is running against Ironstache for Paul rynn's seat in Wisconsin. She had a tweet yesterday claiming her internal poll shows she is neck to neck with her Dem opponent. Sanders has been in WI before campaigning with Iron stachache.
BTW I am rooting for Cathy Myers.

.@BernieSanders should explain why he's wasting his time coming to my hometown to campaign for @ironstache instead of fighting to stop Trump's takeover of our Supreme Court.
Women need our allies on the frontlines, not stumping for men who have supported abortion restrictions.

Bice: Ironworker Randy Bryce being paid by Democratic consulting firm

If people know anything about Randy Bryce, it's that the Democratic congressional candidate is an ironworker. And that he has a mustache.
His blue-collar roots have defined his candidacy, starting with his launch video.
But few know that Bryce, who is hoping to replace House Speaker Paul Ryan in his southeastern Wisconsin district, is also doing consulting work for a Milwaukee firm headed by the former head of the state Democratic Party.
In his latest personal financial disclosure form, Bryce reports earning more than $5,000 from Wavecrest Consulting and Analytics since the start of 2017.
Wavecrest is owned and operated by former Democratic Party Chairman Mike Tate. The firm works with political campaigns, private corporations and nonprofits.
Chris Martin, spokesman for the Republican National Campaign Committee, said the disclosure undercuts Bryce's carefully crafted, working-class image.
"Hes being paid by a liberal political consulting firm to run for office," Martin said. "So much for that working class façade hes been trying to sell voters for the past year.".........................................

(6,288 posts)Im the daughter of an army veteran and an Army Reserve nurse that started a small business running a truck stop, worked hard, and later added a diner.
They worked tirelessly to give our family of six a middle-class life.
It was a team effort.
They, with the help of their employees, built something pretty great, and they taught us kids the value of hard work, public service, and taking responsibility for community and country.
My brothers, sister, and I have always lived those values in our own lives. While it hasnt been easy for me, for far too many, opportunity is slipping away.
The middle class I was raised in is going away. I worry about our kids and the future they have to look forward to.
But I also know this: ordinary Americans are capable of extraordinary things when we come together to demand a new direction.
So if you think now is the time for a Member of Congress to represent the truckers, the teachers, the factory workers, and the small business owners; I am asking you to join this campaign.

(6,288 posts)Another manufactured image gathered & nurtured in an media consulting firm's petri dish of online personal data collection for maximum appeal, to upend a political opponant.
Add in his prior brushes with the law & his personal vices, & the further reveal of 'image consultants' simple drive a wedge of mistrust between the candidate & the voter.
This reveal kinda blows the popular 'little guy' image portrayed.
Figures that corporate "Money & Media" would be behind yet another Dem campaign.
Mr. Money & Media showed up & immediately blew their cover.
Stand with our Democratic Women. Its the only way our voices & our reproductive & human rights will ever be given full priority.
Rape is not a fantasy & reproductive rights must not be used as a political bargaining chip.

Probably consults on like outreach to blue-collar workers or unions or whatever. Nothing wrong with that, nor does it 'undermine his blue-collar roots'. If it was $100,000/yr I'd get 'the point' here, but 5,000 for a year and half? C'mon.

(56,582 posts)And I'm not talking about the stuff from 10 years ago, that's not a problem. The failure to pay child support arrest is going to be really problematic in a district we really need to take.
