(6,324 posts)The one thing I will fault him for is that he knew anything sent on an agency phone was subject to review and release. He should never have sent that kind of stuff on a government device of any kind. Because even though he says, and I believe, that he didnt do anything based on his personal biases he established doubt as to his impartiality.
If this were a case involving someone who was prosecuted those texts would be enough for even a poor defense attorney to get a lot of his evidence gathered and testimony thrown own and raise doubts with a jury as to the fairness.
For as well spoken as he is, and as competent as he in all ways appears to be, that rookie level of a mistake astounds me.

(15,543 posts)you knew that deep down they have no respect for the men and women who have served in America's Armed Forces.
From their mockery of Purple Heart recipients to their insulting and trashing of a dying man who endured POW suffering for many long years, republicans have disgraced themselves.
The republican Draft-Dodger-in-Chief (and his whole family of shirkers) should shut up their big fat republican chickenhawk mouths and stop demeaning America's Armed Forces.
