At FBI Agent's Hearing, Congressman Connolly Shades Republicans Who Also Criticized Trump

“You’re under oath, I want you to say yes or no,” Connolly told Strzok during the hearing. “The following email: ’Character matters, @RealDonaldTrump is obviously not going to win but he can still make an honorable move, step aside and let someone else try.′ Did you write that email?”

“I don’t believe I did,” Strzok replied.

“No, you didn’t,” Connolly said. “Republican senator Ben Sasse wrote that email. Another unforgivable sin, he should be here as well apparently.”

Connolly didn’t stop there.

″‘My wife Julia and I, we have a 15-year-old daughter,’” Connolly read. “‘Do you think I can look her in the eye and tell her that I endorse Donald Trump when he acts like this and his apology ― that was no apology, that was an apology for getting caught. I can’t tell the good people of my state that I endorse a person who acts like that.’ Was that you, Mr. Strzok?”

“No sir,” Strzok said.

“No it wasn’t,” Connolly said. “It was Republican Jason Chaffetz, former chairman of my committee.”

Connolly continued to point out the hypocrisy by reading out tweets and statements from other Republican lawmakers before Trump was president, including: Rep. Mike Coffman (R-Colo.), Rep. Barbra Comstock (R-Va.), Rep. Bradley Byrne (R-Ala.), Rep. Martha Roby (R-Ala.) Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah).

“So it sounds like when you were writing these emails in the heat of the campaign, you had a lot of company on the Republican side of the aisle,” Connolly told Strzok. “And now you’re an orphan. I wonder what happened?”

Every time I heard Republicans trying to blow up what they said to each in private emails about TRUMP I thought to myself like I always do that there is no limit to the Republicans hypocrisy & projection...But it never crossed my mind to quote ALL THOSE TWO FACE HYPOCRITES during hearing!! …And many of those same Republicans said far worse things about TRUMP!

on the TV this afternoon and I could almost tell when a Dem was speaking (if it was a woman it was a Dem by the way) and when I heard Donnelly speak I had to stop what I was doing and see who specifically was speaking. Man, he hit it out of the ballpark. I have been writing to MSM and Cable News for over a year begging them to dig out the old quotes from the GOP during the campaign who were super critical of him yet now pledge their loyalty. THANK YOU CONNALLY! You did what the so called "liberal media" has failed to do on a regular basis since the election. Throw their own, hypocritical words towards their Dear Leader back in their faces every single day. America needs to remember this treason by the GOP all day and every day, especially leading to the midterms.

Change in volume from Republican to Democrat from any room in the House. Democrats talk normally, Republicans shouted insults.

Funny thing happened to me this Morning. I had contacted the new Mayor of our Town asking who was responsible for putting Carbon Monoxide Detectors in my House. The Red Cross has a program to install Smoke Detectors free for those who do not know.

The Mayor and his wife came this morning. During our conversation it turns out they went to School with my Son. His one act of kindness will be spread.

But here is the kicker. He looked at my TV, asked,” You watch MSNBC?” I sure do. She asked if I watched Morning Joe.

Of course the Mayor is non Political, but I know a couple of the Commissioners, too! Seems our tiny little Republican Town is turning Democrat! You can bet this old girl will be spreading this! At Church, the Y, friends at the Grocery.

That is interesting. Too bad he can't do the town another favor and get Fux Ruse off the air somehow. It is good to know that at least he listens to MSNBC (or maybe his wife does and she has the remote control).

Smoke Detectors. In our years with the Volunteer Fire Department,I knew CM Detectors were important I emailed him to ask about the program. He decided to come and bring his wife.

Small Town Politics. The former Mayor was a Republican. She came around when it was time to vote. Strong Republican neighborhood.

Mayor is non Political, but that MSNBC brought up the subject. He is young, new.I look for a great Political future for him.

Maybe replace Mike Turner, the Congressman. I will do all I can to help him.

Everything I need is in a small circle.

When I had to go to the ER with what looked like a stroke, turned out to be Carpal Tunnel,( Execised too hard at the Y,) neighbors told me the Police Chief came back 3 times to make sure my house was locked, found my credit card holder that fell out of my pocket, then called that evening to see how I was.

I love that cleat story. Lots of snow?

Transparent, outraged, truthful, professional, and showing ample indignation at the way he has been villified

Before today, I thought the country was doomed. Tonight I know we have a chance. This was a red-blooded American doing his patriotic best.

Today was the moment we reached the "Sir, have you no sense of decency?" moment.

The tide has turned.

...contributing billions in in-kind political propaganda, Trump would be impeached and Democrats would be well on their way to dominating both houses of Congress. Instead, Republicans are aided by Sinclair Broadcasting, Fox News and the hold hate media apparatus along with their Russian cohorts.

MSNBC is subscription, fox & sinclair are FREE. The audience for MSNBC is much smaller, and the programming is not across the board liberal by any means.

Sinclair Broadcasting handouts scripts to its new affiliates throughout the country. Fox News actively coordinates talking points or feeds talking points to the GOP. MSNBC, CNN, ABC and CBS are just pushing news. So, during the Obama administration, when the news was bad, they were just as critical of President Obama and Democrats.

Finally, NBC/MSNBC keeps on trying to creep into RW space with hirings of Republicans and folks like Megan Kelley. Fox is hardly trying to make a pitch for progressives.

Funny, not one repug said one word about this, it was met with total silence and not referenced once in the following hours. It did totally prove their points, all of these folks criticized drumpf and wanted him gone and yet there they all are still voting for every repug policy orange assmouth puts forward. So obviously criticism isn't a predicator of actions and it proved that the hearing was the real witch hunt.
