For Any Republican Lurkers..Your 97% Approved Prez Is About to Feed the Baltic States to Russia

How do you think your hero, Ronald "Tear down that wall, Mr Gorbachev" Reagan would feel if he knew that a Republican president was selling out the Baltic States? Trump has made it clear that he will not lift a finger to stop Putin if/when Russia invades. Russia is already carrying out drills for the invasion. Trump is doing everything he can to weaken NATO and strengthen Russia.

Ronald Reagan was your hero because he tore down the Iron Curtain. Now, you support a man who is trying to pin the Iron Curtain up again.

Maybe this is Trump's way of getting back at the Reagans who would not return his calls or attend any of his parties.

They snubbed him, so he is going to recreate the USSR. In order to erase his debt to Russian mobsters but also out of childish spite, just to show he can. Trump is the world's biggest suck up. He won't pay the ordinary men and women who labor for him, but he will kiss the ring of anyone rich and powerful--and lie for his own self aggrandizement.

“I didn’t know him well,” Trump later admitted to The Wall Street Journal, insisting, however, that friends told him Reagan was a fan. “He felt very good about me,” Trump said. “Frankly, he liked my attitude.”

Reagan’s son Ron, a political analyst noted for his liberal views, said in a recent radio interview that his father “didn’t know Donald Trump and wouldn’t have cared for Donald Trump.”

“My father would not have known Donald Trump if Trump stood up in his soup,” Ron said.

...although there was no publicly-announced diagnosis until then, Reagan was showing symptoms long before, even from his earliest days in the White House. There were many stories of him not recognizing even regular members of his staff, or of holding forth on some current world situation, only to have it turn into the plot of one of his old movies. At the time, people just chalked it up to him not being very smart; in the light of what we know now, it would appear there may have been more to it than that.

I have feared russia would invade the Balkans, starting with Estonia, for .. jeeze.. well over a year.
This is part of the trump set up... the reason he is there in the first place...

If I am wrong I will be the first to admit it.
Please prove me wrong---
But I don't think I am...

--neither do the several people I know, just as acquaintances, or have met, from Estonia and Latvia.. among them some world famous concert artists...

...but what of the more-likely scenario, in which NATO mobilizes to defend its members, and Trump suddenly orders U.S.forces to stand down?

Can NATO muster the forces (including nuclear firepower as a last resort) to fight off Putin's forces if the U.S. sits this one out? What if, in the ultimate doomsday scenario, Trump informs the European members that, if they take action, U.S. forces (including the massive number within those countries' own borders) will instead join forces with Russia and fight NATO themselves? Basically, give NATO a choice: let Putin retake the Baltic nations, or resist and have the U.S. help Russia capture all of Europe?

Is there anyone who thinks Trump wouldn’t do that — or that Congress would lift a finger to stop him if he did?

...of holding progressive beliefs while demonstrating filial devotion. But I think it's the height of naivety to think Bonzo would have been upset about Putin because Freedom. How much did his father respect freedom when it came to, say, organizing and defending a particularly brutal terrorist army to force a democratically-elected government in Nicaragua to "cry 'uncle'" to the U.S. (and, in particular, its corporations)? Despite his son's rose-colored glasses view of Dad, Ronnie only saw the world through one lens: Us versus godless Communism. I very much doubt he would have had a problem with Putin "trying to pin the Iron Curtain up again," as long as the result was the U.S.C.R. — the Union of Soviet Capitalist Reoublics.
