A MIDDLE FINGER TO SCOTT PRUIT: Mark Myles for Oklahoma Attorney General
Mark Myles is a long-term resident of Oklahoma City. His father served our country as a career U.S. Army officer and his mother was a junior high school science teacher for over 30 years. Mark works as an independent attorney practicing administrative, criminal, and family law. Mark is a current member of Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma County Bar Association, Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and McClain County Bar Association. He is a former member of ABA, NBA, and Logan County Bar Associations.
Mark began his law career in 2008, after 21 years with the IBM Corporation where he provided business solutions to small, medium, and large businesses, earning many accolades and awards for his leadership. During his tenure at IBM, he served as a Junior Achievement consultant to inner city and suburban students in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area, where he taught principles of economics and free enterprise.
The 1995 Oklahoma City bombing spurred Mark’s decision to become a lawyer. After the attack, Mark served as a Red Cross volunteer for two months, helping first responders and firefighters in the aftermath of the attack. Mark realigned his professional life with his personal values to protect and advocate for the people and enforce the rule of law and in 2005 began law school at the University of Oklahoma.
While in law school, Mark served as Chair of the Graduate Student Senate, worked as a licensed legal intern in the law school’s criminal defense clinic, and performed pro bono work in New Orleans. He also attended the summer law program at Brasenose College at the University of Oxford in England, where he earned a certification in English Legal Systems by the Oxford Centre for International Law and Justice. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1983 and attended Lawton’s Eisenhower High School.
Mark resides in the Mesta Park neighborhood of Oklahoma City with his wife Eva Borgei and their children Ramy and Katherine. Eva is a former pediatrician turned attorney who practices civil law and specializes in immigration, personal injury, and family law. Eva’s daughter Nina graduated from the University of Oklahoma last year, where her son Ramy is currently a student. Mark’s daughter Elizabeth attends the University of Chicago and in 2017, Katherine graduated from Oklahoma State University. In his free time, Mark enjoys sports, photography, and travel. He has been a member of the Crown Heights Christian Church.
