Colbert Mocks Gowdy, Gohmert For Hearing: 'It Was Like A Few Good Men But With Even Fewer Good Men'

https://www.mediaite.com/uncategorized/colbert-mocks-gowdy-gohmert-for-strzok-hearing-it-was-like-a-few-good-men-but-with-even-fewer-good-men/

On Thursday night, Stephen Colbert had some fun at the expense of congressional lawmakers over the marathon hearing of FBI Agent Peter Strzok.

What he referred to as a “parliamentary smackdown” and the “Thunder Dome” in the Capitol Dome, Colbert began explaining to his audience how Strzok’s anti-Trump tweets were being scrutinized by GOP lawmakers. He shared a sample including “God. Hillary should win 100,000,000-0,” “Trump is a f**king idiot,” and “WHAT THE F**K HAPPENED TO OUR COUNTRY?!?”

“I don’t know, but hopefully Robert Mueller will tell us soon,” Colbert responded.

He then mocked Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) over an fiery exchange he had with Strzok.

“That was intense! It was like A Few Good Men but with even fewer good men,” Colbert quipped.

Colbert also ripped Gowdy for “having his ass handed to him” by Strzok in another exchange and ridiculed Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) for invoking Strzok’s wife regarding his extramarital affair with FBI lawyer Lisa Page.

... just HOW MANY PEOPLE, both above and below him, would've had to have been actively supporting his 'personal vendetta', in a manner (presumably) contrary to FBI Regulations and Protocols ... that was an especially powerful part of his retort.

And I kinda wish PS had pointed out the Congress has access to everyone's emails and texts that he was in contact with at this point ... so why have they FAILED to identify and show evidence of any ACTUAL 'conspiracy' involving anyone around him? They apparently have NOTHING, aside from a handful of texts, showing PS's own personal feelings.

Fact is ... any actual 'conspiracy' of the magnitude the GOP suggests would've shown him communicating with MULTIPLE other people in furtherance thereof. Yet the GOP has NOTHING OF THE KIND, or we'd have LONG AGO heard about it.
