Trey Gowdy(R-SC) first got elected to the US House in 2010 by unseating a Republican incumbent-
Bob Inglis(R-SC) in the Republican primary.
Was there any law in South Carolina preventing Inglis from running as an Independent or a Write In?
If that had occurred we would not be having these problems we are having right now.
