The world through its media

Government-run Rossiya 1 TV says: "The Brits have given the US president a cold welcome at mass demonstrations."

According to the TV channel, the British government "doesn't hide the fact that it fears a thaw in Russian-US relations, and everything has been done to make the US president feel good, but the demonstrations can poison the atmosphere of his visit."

In a report captioned "British hospitality", Gazprom-owned NTV says: “Great Britain is far from happy to see the White House boss.

"Britons have greeted the US leader with protests, holding placards.”
