Early polling shows him with a healthy lead. If he just doesn't shoot himself in the foot over the next couple months, he should be the favorite heading into November.

I imagine Schumer is going to instruct Senators to vote their constituencies and not whip this since there won't be any GOP defections.

to confirm Gorsuch. All three are up for re-election, and all three are from states that Trump won. Their electoral chances are on the line with this vote.

So the Democratic Senators in blood red states will vote to confirm; it does no harm.

And, candidly, it's a useful move to confuse the mouth breathing idiots in red states and deprive the Pukes of a black/white issue even the mouth breathers can understand.
