What would be nice is if we could isolate these Russian assets and oligarchs to their region. Deprive them of the luxury and convenience of Western living and finance.

That Trump was briefed before he left and is still talking about Putin the way he has over the last few days and is meeting him tomorrow is deeply troubling.

Mueller/Rosenstein essentially announced they have sufficient evidence to say without reasonable doubt that Russia committed acts of war against the United States.

Never forget.

We can't imagine the stress they are under, facing relentless attacks from within and outside of our government. They are literally the only segment of our system of government that is functioning appropriately to combat this Russian coup.

A grand jury in the District of Columbia returned an indictment presented by the special counsel's office charging 12 Russian military officers by name for conspiring to interfere with the 2016 presidential election.11 are charged with conspiring to hack into computers, steel documents, and release those documents with the intent to interfere in the election. One of those defendants and a12th a12th Russian military officer are charged with conspiring to infiltrate computers of administering elections, including State boards of election, secretaries of State, and companies that provide software used to administer elections. According to allegations in the indictment, the defendants worked for two units of the main intelligence directorate of Russian general staff, known as the GRU. Units engaged in active cyber to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. There was one unit that engaged in active cyber operations by stealing information. A different unit was responsible for disseminating stolen information. The defendants used to techniques. They used this game known as spear p hishing, which involves sending misleading messages and tricking users into disclosing password information.
