Trump has gone out of his way in recent days to repeat that he sees Russia not as an enemy but as a competitor.
Does he get to make that choice?
If the Russians hacked even just one voter database or hacked e-mails of a political party and helped get them published and did all the things that the hackers on behalf of Russia are accused of doing, aren't they our "enemies" and not just our "competitors"?
Do competitors hack the e-mails of the competition?
Do competitors hire an "army" of fake computer users to post politically oriented texts and messages aimed to affect the election outcome?
I'm not so sure.
