I'm glad he is on record as asking for this.
But, he's also naive and conservative for saying that it would be an insult to our democracy unless Putin takes tangible steps to fix things.
to paraphrase one respondent to Schumer - Trump would happily piss on our democracy if it meant he could hold onto Congress for the midterms.
