Well the GOP/Trump defenders are reacting exactly as I predicted while Rosenstein was speaking.

They are hanging their MAGA hats desperately on these two sentences: "There is no allegation in the indictment that any American was a knowing participant in the alleged unlawful activity or knew they were communicating with Russian intelligence officers. There is no allegation in the indictment that the charged conduct altered the vote count or changed the outcome of the 2016 election."

What they fail to appreciate is its actual meaning.

"There is no allegation in the indictment (i.e. this particular indictment) that any American was a knowing participant in the alleged unlawful activity or knew they were communicating with Russian intelligence officers. There is no allegation in the indictment (i.e. this particular indictment) that the charged conduct altered the vote count or changed the outcome of the 2016 election."

I do believe they are in for a seriously rude awakening and the day of reckoning is coming.

Schiff says Rosenstein's wording just means "we didn't include the allegations against Americans here."

Right before literally laughing out loud knowing the MAGAhats were going to totally miss the point and get their hopes up.

Why would there be any such allegation in an indictment of Russians?

That sort of thing might would be appropriate in an indictment of certain Americans, though....

Mueller has to first show the clear case of illegal hacking. No one will question these indictments.

Next, Mueller makes the case that as these activities were provable illegal then those who coordinated the release of the hacked materials are also in serious trouble.

Roger Stone and Julian Assange will probably be next.

Just because those asking for, receiving, and/or using the information gathered by the Russians have not been named or indicted yet, they could be. Could the FBI/Mueller be releasing these indictments to make the co-conspirators buggy? Will they remain loyal to Trump, now that their contacts have been identified and they might already be part of the ongoing investigation? Those involved are not breathing any easier.

The idiots that voted for Trump and MAGA that were manipulated by micro targeting and duped might be a lost cause. They will defend to the end.
